Dave joined Lewis & Knopf as a Principal when his previous firm, Millhouse & Holaly, LLP, merged with Lewis & Knopf in 2001. Dave concentrates his practice on helping family owned businesses, construction entities, and religious organizations. He believes that in order to provide the finest service possible, you must interact with each client as if they were your only client.
Spearheading a number of the firm’s unique service offerings, Dave specializes in employee benefit plan deign, selection, and implementation. He is also the firm’s driving force in assisting construction entities in improving their information systems (accounting and job costing) to better manage their business. He is also a member of the firm’s Estate Planning Group, providing tax planning for income and estate tax purposes.
Dave serves as treasurer for the Flint Community Education Fund and McFarlan Home, Inc., an assisted living home/foundation. He previously served as the treasurer of Community Recovery Services, Inc., a substance abuse health care provider, and Asbury of the United Methodist Church.
Dave grew up in Flint Michigan where his father was also an accountant. David enjoys playing golf, tennis, card games, and going to the movies with family and friends. He currently resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his wife and two children.
