Lewis & Knopf Director Speaks to Local Organizations

In January, Thomas Lillie, CPA, Director at Lewis & Knopf, was invited to give presentations to local member groups. Tom maintains active involvement in several community organizations and strives to positively impact the community in which he lives and works.

“I am honored to have been asked to speak on these valuable topics,” said Tom. “As a team, we are dedicated to making a difference in the places where we live and work and are so grateful to be invited to participate in discussions like these that enrich our community.”

On January 24th, Tom was welcomed by the Genesee Valley Rotary Club for “Follow the Money,” a presentation on CPA-prepared financial statements. This talk reviewed the differences between various types of CPA-generated financial statements, the reasons you may need them, and the benefits of each.

On January 31st, Tom was invited to speak by the entrepreneurial-focused nonprofit organization 100k Ideas. There, he talked to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs about planning for smooth tax preparation. The presentation took attendees step by step through the process of working with a professional to submit their business returns, and addressed state-specific issues, to help budding entrepreneurs prepare for a successful tax season.
