Local CPA Attends National Alliance of Auto Dealer Advisors Summer Meeting

Greg Waller, CPA, Principal at Lewis & Knopf, CPAs, P.C. recently returned from the Summer Meeting of the National Alliance of Auto Dealer Advisors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lewis & Knopf is the only accounting practice in the state and one of only 11 practices in the nation selected as a member of the group.

Eighteen partners, representing 10 accounting practices located throughout the U.S., attended the seminar. Attendance at the Continuing Professional Education Program was by invitation only and focused on meeting the challenges of continued innovation to improve client service and run an accounting and business consulting firm dedicated to the automotive industry.

The seminar also provided attendees the opportunity to discuss current issues affecting auto dealerships, as well as develop ties to similar accounting and tax experts in other areas of the country. “Having a relationship with the National Alliance of Auto Dealer Advisors has been beneficial for myself, colleagues and most important, the firm’s automotive clients,” said Waller. “Meetings like the one I recently attended, help me gather the pertinent information that my automotive clients want and need to know.”

National Alliance of Auto Dealer Advisors was created to provide leading accounting and consulting firms specializing in working with auto dealers a unique venue to discuss issues affecting the profitability of auto dealers. Waller joined the firm in 1991. As a principal, he currently provides assurance, tax, and consulting services for the firm’s auto dealership clients.

Waller graduated from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is active in a number of professional and personal organizations, including, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), Michigan Automobile Dealers Association, Builders Association of Metro Flint, United Way of Genesee County and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Waller currently resides in Flushing, Michigan with his wife and two children.
