Akshay joined Lewis & Knopf, CPAs, P.C. in 2004. As a principal, he provides audit, accounting, and tax preparation services to the firm’s clients. Akshay works with a diverse client base including corporations, not for profits, and local government. He specializes in serving school districts and the healthcare industry.

Akshay began his public accounting career at Bahl & Co., P.C. He worked as a staff accountant for two years and handled payroll taxes, performed audits and data entry, and prepared personal financial statements.

Beyond his duties as a service provider, Akshay understands the importance of maintaining accurate and timely data within the accounting industry. He contributes time and resources to reading timely articles and conducting research on topics including tax code and treasury regulation.

Akshay is a native of India and moved to the United States in 2000. He currently resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his wife. In his free time, Akshay enjoys traveling and both watching and playing sports.
