Anita is a Principal at Lewis & Knopf CPAs, P.C. Her areas of expertise include healthcare, high net worth individuals, professional services, and estates and trusts. Anita has helped numerous physicians set up their professional practices from scratch, including their billing systems, office procedures and accounting cycle. Under her guidance and planning her clients have developed into multi-million dollar practices. She focuses on implementing strategies for cost control, income tax, estate tax and gift plans for them and their families, to save thousands of dollars on federal and state taxes.
Anita grew up in London, England and came to Michigan in 1985. She joined Lewis & Knopf in 1988 concentrating on high net worth professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit. Anita cares deeply about her clients, which shows in the professional and personal relationships she maintains. She believes life is too short to waste and has learned over the years to spend her time wisely, as time can never be regained – especially moments with children, family, and special friends.
When asked what inspired her to become an accountant, she says, “Accounting is a truly flexible and rewarding career for women. There is more availability to raise a family, while creating a satisfying career developing strategies to make clients successful in today’s business environment.”
When not serving clients, Anita enjoys playing golf with her family, dressmaking, and foreign travel. She resides in Goodrich, Michigan with her husband, Inder.
