Joel began his career in public accounting in 2007 with Lewis & Knopf. He is responsible for handling complex tax returns and multi-state tax issues. Joel is accredited in business valuation and leads our firms business valuation practice. Joel works with clients in a variety of industries, including small businesses, manufacturing, medical, auto dealerships, and restaurants. Joel has been successful in overseeing much of the growth and merger activity in our Fenton office since 2013. He also serves the firm as a member of both the tax and marketing committees.
As a motivated professional, Joel’s coworkers describe him as hard working and friendly. His personal service philosophy is to “always deliver the best client service on a timely basis and at an affordable price.” Joel explains that he chose to pursue a career in accounting because “I have a passion for helping small business owners grow their business and prosper. I love the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and help clients achieve their goals.” Joel is very goal driven and attributes his success to working hard and always keeping the end result in the forefront of his mind.
A graduate of Ferris State University, Gibbons holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Gibbons lives in Fenton, Michigan. He serves his local community as a member of the board of directors of both the Fenton Chamber of Commerce and the Fenton Young Professionals.
