Employee Spotlight – Sarah Henry

Since 2019, Sarah has been a valuable member of the Lewis & Knopf team. She currently serves as a senior staff accountant. In this role, she is responsible for tax preparation and review, as well as audit work.

What year did you join Lewis & Knopf?
I joined the firm in 2019. My one-year anniversary with Lewis & Knopf is July of this year!

Tell me a little about where you attended college and the degree(s) you earned. Any special accomplishments?
I graduated from Central Michigan University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I majored in accounting and also got a marketing minor.

What is your favorite thing about living in Michigan?
I love living in a place where I get to experience all the different seasons. And it is great that there are so many lakes and rivers close by.

Tell me a little about your family.
I grew up in Clio, Michigan, and am very close with my family, who still live there. My fiancé and I bought a house in Millington in June of 2019 and were very excited to move back to the area.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I would spend my extra time traveling.

What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?
I spent a summer studying abroad in Italy. I absolutely loved the four months I got to spend there.

What is your favorite smell?
I love the aroma of fresh-baked brownies.

When was the last time you climbed a tree?
Not that long ago! I climbed one last summer when my fiancé and I went camping.

What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten?
I once had squid ink stuffed pasta.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would like to be able to time travel.
