Employee Spotlight – Vicki Mullin

Vicki MullinVicki joined the Lewis & Knopf team in 2001. She joined as a firm administrative assistant and is now our firm’s Portal Administrator. She maintains and supports the firm’s client portal along with other administrative duties.

What year did you join Lewis & Knopf?
2001—I’ve been here for almost two decades!

Tell me a little about where you attended college and the degree(s) you earned. Any special accomplishments?
I have an associate degree in administration from Baker College. As far as special accomplishments go, I have been working in the accounting field for 32 years!

What is your favorite thing about living in Michigan?
I really enjoy spending time at the beach on Lake Michigan. I also love seeing the colors in the fall and driving north through the Tunnel of Trees.

Tell me a little about your family.
I have been married to my husband, Brian, for 25 years. We have a daughter, Brooke, who recently graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree. She now lives in Chicago. We also have a son, Lance, who is a freshman at Michigan State University, studying finance. We also have our dog, Faith.  She is 13 years old and still acts like a puppy.

 If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I would decorate my home.

What is a new skill that you would like to master?
I started practicing yoga this year. I love it, but there are some poses I would like to master.

What do you wish you knew more about?
Golf! I have never been able to play, but I would love to learn how.

What the farthest you’ve ever been from home?
I have traveled to Hawaii for my honeymoon.

What question would you most like to know the answer to?
When will life get back to normal after Covid 19?

What was the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Any compliment is the best compliment, especially if it is about my children.

What is your favorite smell?
I love the smell of coffee (even though I do not like how it tastes).

If you had a clock that would count down to any one event of your choosing, what event would you want it to count down to?
My next Hawaiian vacation.

When was the last time you climbed a tree?
A very long time ago and it will not be any time soon.

What is the most unusual thing you have ever eaten?
I once tried snails.  I am not a very adventurous eater.
